Do you need a little inspiration for adding to your wish list for a little Christmas treat this year?  How about adding something a little health & fitness inspired to the list?
I have put together 10 fitness gift ideas that you can suggest to Santa.  They might even help to keep you motivated over the holidays and get you moving into your new health & fitness routine for 2015 ( OMG, I know, it’s not far away! ) …

Fitness Gift Ideas for the Healthy, Active Woman

Magazine Subscription … I love flicking through the pages of a magazine and gathering inspiration from the pages.  And it’s great for a little bit of relaxation time for you too! Women’s Health or Women’s Fitness are good to see what’s all the go at the moment.

Socks … OK, not very exciting I know but you can never have too many pairs of socks!  Especially when your health & fitness goals involve lots of walking, running and strength training!

gloves

Gloves … For those of you into weight training, and for those of you who would like to get into weight training.  Gloves are a great idea, not just to keep the skin on your hands nice and soft.  They help you be able to grip the weights, especially when you are starting to lift heavier weights.  Check out Kelly at Bright Pink .. she has some gorgeous gloves! I have a pair and they are sparkly!

Technology … I’m not even going to start the list here there are so many options available … FitBit, Jawbone, Vivofit for the fitness band followers … even just a heart rate monitor can give you the stats on your workout, calories burned and distances covered … maybe you might just like an iTunes voucher so that you can plan yourself a new playlist to listen to or buy some fitness apps to keep you recording your workouts.

4 PT sessions with a Women’s Fitness Expert … OK, so how could I not add this? A great way to keep you accountable and learn from an expert. Always based on your individual goals, I will be there to guide you and help you to achieve whatever health & fitness goals you have!

Food / Exercise Diary or Journal … Keeping a record of what you are eating and how much you are moving is a great way to see what is actually happening and where you are improving or where you could focus to improve even more!  If you don’t want to spend the money on a specific food and exercise diary … you can do what I do and just buy a funky notebook from Kikki K or Officeworks and fill it in each day with all the things that I am focussing on or here is a copy of a page that I use for my clients when I ask them to fill out a journal for a week or so.

fitbook

Yoga Mat … You don’t need to do yoga to have a yoga mat. You might like to use it to do some stretching after your workout, because I know that you stretch after every workout, right?

Vouchers … for clothes, shoes of course!  Umm, who doesn’t want to buy new workout gear? There’s nothing more motivating than getting out in a new pair of tights, top or taking new kicks for a spin! Oh and you get to go shopping …

Massage … Now, seriously, who does not want a massage.  The perfect relaxation or to help release your tight muscles.  I do believe that it is a great addition to your workout routine.  You don’t need to run off to a weekly appointment, but a once a month release always feels great!

Foam Roller … Not up for a massage, here is the next best option.  Get yourself one of these babies and roll away to release tight muscles in your back, shoulders and legs ( ouch! ). You can pick them up from Amart or Rebel Sport and various other sporting or fitness equipment retailers.

OK, now which of these fitness gifts are you going to add to your list? Or which ones haven’t I included that will be on your list?

Stay active, Stay healthy!
