Are you finding it hard to get started with a consistent exercise program?  You are not alone!

The getting started is probably the part that is really holding you back in your efforts to achieve your health & fitness goals, right?

If someone could do it for you it would be easier, right?

The magic pill?  Well, I haven’t found it yet but I will be sure to let you know as soon as I find it and test it myself!

In the mean time, here are some ways to get you out the door, into a consistent training routine and feeling great in as little as a week!  No really, it does work!!

Find an exercise, sport, group class that you really LOVE or really want to try … want to try pole dancing .. ring them now and make your first appointment!

Make that appointment with yourself … Sounds self indulgent but 15 minutes is all you need to get started, then repeat it every day or at the very least, every second day.  Seriously, the washing and folding piles will wait I can assure you, but that 15 minutes you spend making yourself feel great will be more than worth it!

Set a goal for yourself … make it simple and keep at it for one week, two weeks or a month but don’t set any new goals until this period is up.  Your goal might be to exercise for 15 out of 30 days for the next month.  Print out a calendar and cross those workouts off and see yourself smash your goal!

Enlist the help of a Personal Trainer … your PT will support you, encourage you, challenge you and keep you motivated.  They will provide you with the knowledge you need to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.

Grab a friend … a training partner can be one of the greatest motivators to get you started and help you stick with your new training routine.  You won’t want to let your training partner down by not turning up to your session, and you will have some there to support you and understand you!

Lastly, and possibly the most important tip … TAKE ACTION!  Get out there and actually get it done!  Don’t just keep thinking about it, talking about it or planning it … go out and get it done!

Yes, it will be hard those first few times but you will get into a routine and it will be so worth it!

If you would like a little extra motivation I’m offering new clients a “Bring a Friend” special this month.

As a new client, Bring a Friend with you to your PT session and your friend trains for free in April!  Who wouldn’t want to share the love!
